Each YMCA centre offers a rich variety of drop-in fitness classes, from Boot Camp to Tai Chi. Taking place at various times of the day, there is something for everyone, everyday. Unlike registered programming, drop-in classes require no prior registration and are available at no extra cost to members.

TRY A NEW CLASS!

MASALA BHANGRA - Free Demo Class

The Masala Bhangra Workout® is derived from two Indian words:

Masala, which means 'spicy' in Hindi

Bhangra, which is a traditional folk dance from the northern state of Punjab, India

 

The Masala Bhangra Workout® is an exercise dance routine that modernizes the high-energy folk dance of Bhangra by blending traditional Bhangra dance steps and the exhilaration of Bollywood (Hindi film) moves, seen recently in the Oscar-winning film Slumdog Millionaire! The Masala Bhangra Workout® is an Indian-dance based fitness program, designed for people of all ages and fitness levels.

WOMEN'S ONLY FITNESS - Participate in fitness classes designed for and taught by women in a women-only environment. This program will offer women the opportunity to work out while meeting and socializing with other women. The class focuses on core and strength exercises with some cardio components, providing a workout for all fitness levels.

AQUA ZUMBA - Join the pool party and get in shape! Integrating the Zumba formula and philosophy with traditional aqua fitness disciplines, Aqua Zumba blends it all together into a fun, safe, challenging, water-based workout. This class is cardio conditioning, body toning, and most of all, exhilarating beyond belief.

  • Wednesdays from 8:00pm - 8:45pm
  • July 3 - August 21, 2013

ZUMBA - The Zumba program fuses hypnotic Latin rhythms and easy-to-follow moves to create a one-of-a-kind fitness program that will blow you away. No dance experience required and suitable for all fitness levels.

  • Mondays from 7:20pm-8:20pm and Wednesdays from 6:15pm - 7:15pm
  • July 3 - August 21, 2013 and July 8 - August 19, 2013

AFTERSCHOOL drop-in program changes:

Gym & Swim is cancelled Thursdays 2:00-4:00 PM for Spring II due to low attendance. Kids Squad and Mighty Munchkins will sill be running 4:00-6:00 PM.
